The United Kingdom is ready to advance with employing the full worth of immobilized Russian assets to aid Ukraine's defense operations, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany emphasized that this joint measure would increase strain on Russian President Vladimir Putin and persuade the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They clarified that the initiative would be implemented in tight collaboration with the America.

UK sanctions have blocked over £25bn of Russian resources since Russia launched its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, until now, money allocated to Ukraine using Russian assets had solely been drawn from gains and dividends generated on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and Germany were aligned in their aim to push forward toward using the complete amount of the seized Russia's state assets to conclude the conflict.

He stated that further sanctions in the coming days and weeks would apply more pressure on Moscow.

This declaration follows European Union representatives met in Copenhagen last week to debate utilizing frozen Russia's assets for a €140 billion financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

In the previous month, American leader Donald Trump urged Group of Seven partners to take or otherwise use seized Russia's holdings, according to media sources.

The total of frozen Russian assets in the Europe is assessed to be almost €211bn.
